We all tend to use lack of time as an excuse to get out of something we don’t want to do.
Does this scenario sound familiar?
Significant Other: “Did you drop my dress shirts off at the dry cleaners?”
You: “Oh, honey. I’m sorry! I’ve been so busy…I guess I just ran out of time.”
You watched a “House Hunters” marathon on HGTV, but you didn’t have time to run an errand? We love our HGTV just as much as you, so it pains us to admit this: Odds are you could have dropped off the dry cleaning.
The next time you say you were too busy to pick up that dry cleaning or get to the bank, think about all the time you spend doing other little “fun” things throughout the day. Watching TV. Spending time on social media. Playing on your smartphone.
Sometimes we think about taking care of our oral health as more of a chore than it really is. So the next time you’re in a hurry and don’t think you have time for your oral health, remember this: It only takes a few minutes, twice a day. Plus, unlike reality television, brushing and flossing actually provide lifelong benefits. To kill 2 birds with 1 stone, brush during the commercial break.
