How do you encourage creative thinking/problem solving within your department?
Creative thinking and good problem solving are critical to success in our department. It’s important to encourage good critical thinking and problem solving by looking at all sides of an issue to ensure we select the best possible outcome. It’s also important to minimizing confusion in the problem solving process.
What is the biggest challenge facing young leader today?
The challenges facing leaders today have significantly changed from the past. For any young leader, rapidly changing technology, scarcity or resources, and retention of key employees are important considerations. Doing more with less is likely to be the biggest challenge for the next generation of young leaders.
