Sweet Sugar-free margarita recipe for Cinco De Mayo (or any other day)
The average margarita can have up to 31 grams of sugar, or about two tablespoons, in a single serving. That sugar can do a lot of damage to your teeth over time. Instead, try this tooth-friendly version that will keep your mouth and teeth happy.

Ingredients
- 6 oz tequila (your choice)
- 1/3 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1.5 teaspoons orange extract flavoring
- 3 tablespoons powdered sugar alternative or sugar-free simple syrup
- Ice
- Salt for rim
- Fresh lime wedges
- 4 margarita glasses
Instructions
On the rocks:
- Pour all ingredients (except for the salt for the rim and lime wedges) into a cocktail shaker. Shake until the mixer freezes on the outside.
- Dip the margarita glass’s rims into lime juice and then the salt.
- Pour the margarita mix into four salted glasses and enjoy.
Blended:
- Pour all ingredients (except for the salt for the rim and lime wedges) into a blender. Blend until the mixture becomes slushy. Add more ice if necessary.
- Dip the margarita glass’s rims into lime juice and then the salt.
- Pour the blended margarita mix into four salted glasses and enjoy.
